Donors greatly benefit ArtCenter through their thoughtful and generous planned gifts, with many contributing to endowed scholarships that ensure their legacy lives on through the students they support.
Each year, scholarships created through estate planning, such as the Helena Balfour Edwards Endowed Scholarship, the Elise Mudd Marvin Endowed Scholarship and the Pamela A. Blackwell Endowed Scholarship, provide the financial assistance necessary for our students to pursue their dreams of an art and design education and career. Planned gifts support the College in myriad other ways, such as by providing resources for community outreach (the Alexander and Adelaide Hixon Fund) and the construction of physical spaces (the Mullin Transportation Design Center), which expand our reach into the community and the footprint and resources of our 21st-century facilities.
I have always loved ArtCenter and have had the honor to teach our amazing students for more than 40 years. As ArtCenter nears its 100th birthday, I can say with pride that I have been a supporter of ArtCenter's scholarship program over these past 40 years and have now included the College in my will.
