In response to the increasingly complex set of challenges and expectations facing professional artists and designers, Humanities and Sciences has offers three minors designed to prepare students to thrive in today’s creative marketplace. The curriculum for each minor has been tailored to the needs and interests of students seeking to expand their skillsets outside of the studio and to gain a broader perspective on their practice.

Business

The Business Minor provides you with specialized courses that immerse you in the systems and strategies of business that are vital to artists and designers.

Creative Writing

The Creative Writing Minor offers a specialized series of courses that allow you to explore storytelling in several forms, including poetry, screenwriting and children’s literature.

Material Science

The Material Science Minor provides a fundamental knowledge of engineering and fabrication, allowing you to understand how a variety of industrial and design materials are used and applied.
