Dwight inspired the way we see the world, not only the way we make art.
30 years ago, we lost Dwight Harmon. Dwight was more than an instructor—he was a mentor, an innovator and a guiding light for countless ArtCenter students. He encouraged fearless experimentation, championed the creative process over perfection, and instilled a sense of play and boundless curiosity in his students. The Dwight Harmon Memorial Endowed Scholarship carries forward his spirit, ensuring that future generations of ArtCenter students have the opportunity to explore, take risks and create with the same passion that he so generously shared.
Receiving scholarships like the Dwight Harmon Memorial Endowed scholarship changed my life at ArtCenter. They were a huge relief that enabled me to really focus on finishing my education and begin my career without the financial stress. I felt supported and that the College and people like you believed in me. Not only as a student, but as a professional illustrator.
