Quasi is an exhibition that explores writing systems as a creative and expressive medium. The projects present new configurations of signs and symbols, transcending the boundaries of established writing systems with examples of imaginary or invented scripts and asemic writing inspired by mythology, science fiction, codes, modern technology, sound, nature, and communication with the dead. Through this exploration, Quasi opens conversations about re-worlding, imagination, and the importance of playing with language to foster linguistic diversity that can reshape our collective narrative.
Opening Reception: Thursday, November 16, 6:30 - 9 pm.
