HMCT will present In Conversation: James Walker, an informal talk and lunch reception with one of Type Hike's founders and designers in the South Campus Gallery.
James Walker is a multidisciplinary graphic designer who devotes half of his time educating students on design at the University of Texas at Austin. He cofounded the type-focused nonprofit, Type Hike, which is a broader collaborative poster project benefitting America's natural wonders.
A typographic exploration of America's natural wonders, Type Hike features selected posters from a collection created by various artists and designers celebrating the centennial of the establishment of the National Parks system in the U.S., as well as designated national seashores and endangered species.
South Campus Gallery exhibition runs through February, 2018.
