In Conversation: Dafi Kühne

Join us for an in-person meet-and-greet at HMCT with letterpress wizard (and Archetype Press Printer-in-Residence for the week of February 12–18) Dafi Kühne. Our comprehensive collection of his posters will be available to view, and an informal talk begins at 7:30 PM.

Dafi Kühne is a letterpress printer, graphic designer, and typographer from Switzerland. He works with letterpress printing presses, foundry metal and wood type, laser-cut, and other materials. Dafi studied at the Visual Communications Department of Zürich University of the Arts, and has since fused modern means with the century-old tradition of letterpress printing to form a new vocabulary for communicating through type and form in a truly contemporary way. Never retro, his work is a clever response to the search for new possibilities of graphic expression.
