Legendary designer Dieter Rams will accept an honorary doctorate of arts from ArtCenter during the College's graduation ceremony.
Rams will also deliver a speech to graduates, sharing lessons gleaned over a long and influential career as a product designer and university professor.
German-born Rams first trained as a architect before becoming head of design at Braun. Together with his design team, Rams was responsible for many of the seminal domestic electrical products—and some furniture—of the 20th century.
