ArtCenter College of Design has announced a comprehensive search to hire six new faculty to teach in one of multiple disciplines across the College. This cluster hire is part of a strategic initiative to bring new diverse perspectives to students across campus. In doing so, the College hopes to achieve the following:

Preference will be given to candidates whose work engages global, anti-racist and decolonizing frameworks in relation to the fields of art, design, and/or media. Ideal candidates will challenge the creative fields’ traditional histories, practices, and audiences, and expand the communities with which ArtCenter engages.
In the last year, ArtCenter has hired, promoted or given full-time status to two dozen instructors, assistant and associate professors to diversify its faculty. The College also recently welcomed two new AICAD Fellows as part of a Post-Graduate Teaching Fellowship offered by the Association of Independent Colleges of Art & Design (AICAD). Additionally, departments across the College continue to invite internationally renowned artists, designers and thought leaders into the classroom to serve as guest speakers, facilitate workshops and critique student portfolios.
