2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV): Update 8

A case of the new coronavirus (2019-nCoV) has been diagnosed in San Diego County, California, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in California to seven with only one confirmed case in Los Angeles County. The individual traveled directly from Wuhan, China, and, thanks to a proactive screening and self-monitoring regimen, is doing well and exhibiting minimal symptoms under a doctor’s care.

The College continues to follow guidelines provided for businesses and employers by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). As such, we remind you of the following:

  • Stay home when you are sick
Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze
    Wash your hands
Self-monitor your own health and wellness
See a doctor as soon as  you feel any flu-like or cold symptoms

Additionally, the College continues to perform routine environmental cleaning throughout the day and a deep clean at night.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact the office of Environmental Health and Safety at ehs@artcenter.edu. All updates are available on Inside here.
