2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV): Update 12

College leadership continues to closely monitor updates from public health officials and the federal government related to the coronavirus and covid-19.

In recent days, you have probably heard that it’s not a matter of “if” a covid-19 outbreak increases in the U.S., but “when.” Accordingly, the College is assessing our current response plans, planning for any potential increase in “community spread,” and increasing opportunities for alternative and online lesson plans.

Meanwhile, the current risk to the American public remains low and public health officials continue to recommend individuals take daily preventative actions to protect their health and those around them.

  • Stay home when you are sick
Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze
    Wash your hands often
Self-monitor your own health and wellness
Consult a doctor as soon as you feel any flu-like or cold symptoms

Per our last update (Update #11) we will continue to monitor the situation and send future updates as the situation changes at a national, local or campus level.
