About ArtCenter Extension
ArtCenter Extension (ACX) offers students, adult learners and practicing professionals a world of possibilities. Hungry for a new challenge? Need to add a valuable skill to your art and design practice? Maybe you want a taste of what it’s like to be a full-time student at ArtCenter College of Design? It’s all here.
ACX has more than 150 inspiring college-level courses and weekend workshops in design and the visual arts. Structured for busy adults, courses are held in the evenings and on weekends for 14-week terms in fall, spring and summer. Classes typically meet once or twice per week. A number of one-day and weekend workshops offer intensive explorations into business and professional practice for artists and designers and hands-on art activities for ages 18 and over.
ACX doesn’t award a degree or certification of completion, but offers a chance to hone skills, build portfolios and enjoy learning within an innovative and challenging environment. Your instructors are practicing artists and designers who understand how to maintain a competitive edge in the creative fields. You’ll make a network of new friends who share your passion as you enhance your professional skills that will take your education to the next level.
For all ages
ACX reaches youth with ACX Kids and ACX Teens. ACX Kids nurtures creativity and introduces children in grades 4–8 to the joy and wonders of the art and design process. ACX Teens helps students in grades 9 through 12 discover their creative voices and explore a rich art and design curriculum in a college environment.
