Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications
Jim Poore is the senior vice president of marketing and communications at ArtCenter College of Design, where he focuses on strategies to support the institution in a myriad of ways, including increasing awareness of the College’s programs and its positive impact on the world, supporting philanthropic and recruitment opportunities, and developing a clear market brand positioning. Poore graduated from ArtCenter in 1996 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design with an emphasis on brand building. Previously, he served as assistant vice chancellor of marketing and communications at California State University (CSU), where he developed the CSU's marketing and brand platform, leveraging its 23 universities across the state of California. He previously served as chief creative officer and senior executive director of marketing at UCLA, where he lead brand strategy and marketing for the university's highly successful centennial capital campaign. Prior to leaning into higher education, Poore was vice president and executive creative director at brand agency 160over90, and also successfully lead several lifestyle brands (Quiksilver/ROXY, Vans, Olukai, FOX) in their creative marketing endeavors.
