Biography

As one of the early pioneers of the computer animation industry, Kenny Mirman is a visionary designer-director and educator. A 5-time Clio Award-winning director specializing in state-of-the-art innovation, he was a senior designer-director on Disney’s original motion picture TRON, and the visual effects art director for James Cameron’s TITANIC. As an innovator who bridges the worlds of writing, visual storytelling, technology and emotion, his films have garnered over 40 film festival awards for best graphics, animation, visual effects and art direction, and his music videos have been #1 hits on MTV and BET with over 25M views. He has been a featured guest speaker at Disney Animation Studios, Hammer Museum, and arts colleges & universities worldwide. Since 2006, Mirman has been a teacher of writing-for-healing to thousands of incarcerated teenaged girls in jail, and at ArtCenter he teaches the art of creating emotions for visual storytelling in character design.
