Ann Elliott Cutting specializes in conceptual photo illustration and has won awards from "Communication Arts," "Photo District News," "Print," International Photography Awards and AIGA. Among her varied clients: Nikon, "Time," "Science," "The Washington Post," PG&E, Target, Nike, Lexus, Bloomberg, Warner Bros. Records and "The Wall Street Journal." As a member of ArtCenter’s faculty, Cutting has contributed to multiple committees, including Scholarship Review, and co-taught a pilot graduate program in the Photography and Imaging Department. She teaches at the Los Angeles Center of Photography and serves on its board of advisors. Cutting was on the Advertising Photographers of America board of directors and is on the grants committee for the Pasadena Art Alliance. With a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and cell biology, Cutting performs research in molecular biology and studies regulatory gene networks and transcription factors in sea urchins at the California Institute of Technology.
