Christian Clayton is an American artist, painter and image maker. His work has been featured on magazine covers, advertising campaigns, album covers, book covers and music videos, for which he was a Grammy Award-nominee in 1997. Christian’s creative experience also includes concept design for feature-length films. His work has been featured in such publications as "Art In America," "Juxtapoz Magazine," "American Illustration," "Communication Arts," "The New Yorker" and "Rolling Stone." From 1996 to 2016, Christian shared a creative multi-discipline collaborative known as the Clayton Brothers with his brother, Rob Clayton. Christian has lectured throughout the world and his work with the Clayton Brothers has been exhibited in museums, foundations and art galleries throughout America, Europe and Asia. Like his brother, Christian graduated from ArtCenter with honors and recently celebrated 20 years of teaching at ArtCenter. In 2015, he was awarded the Great Teacher Award by the student body.
