Laura Phillips has been with Pixar Animation Studios for over 20 years, and her film credits as a digital painter and shading artist include “Toy Story 2,” “Monsters, Inc.,” “Monsters University,” “Finding Nemo,” “Cars,” “Cars 3,” “WALL-E,” “Brave” and “The Good Dinosaur.” Her artwork was in the Pixar exhibit at the New York Museum of Modern Art and the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. Before Pixar, Phillips had a successful illustration career, with clients such as Bank of America, MasterCard, AT&T, Suzuki, Xerox, Kraft and Mattel. She was president of the San Francisco Society of Illustrators and taught illustration at San Francisco’s Academy of Art University. Her illustrations have won two gold awards and one silver award from SFSI and best of show from West Coast Book Publishers. Phillips’ artwork hangs in the permanent collection of the New York Society of Illustrators’ Museum of American Illustration.
