Greg Spalenka has illustrated for America’s most prominent publishers of books, magazines and newspapers, including “Time,” “Newsweek,” “Sports Illustrated,” “Rolling Stone,” “Playboy,” “The New York Times,” “Los Angeles Times,” “The Washington Post,” “HarperCollins” and “Scholastic.” Two decades later, he became a concept designer on CG-animated features and live-action films such as “The Ant Bully,” “The Golden Compass,” “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” and “Escape From Planet Earth.” Spalenka is a cross-disciplinary artist who embraces different mediums—from high touch to high tech, paint to pixels, photography to music, books to jewelry. For three decades, he has been teaching, lecturing and conducting workshops at colleges, universities and art institutions around the country and abroad, sharing his professional experience and encouraging the creation of art businesses. Spalenka founded the educational service Artist as Brand to inspire and nurture sustainability in art careers.
