Erik Mark Sandberg is an exhibiting artist and academic whose practice conceptually focuses on the mechanics and psychological by-products of consumer-based cultures. His work—which includes installations, sculptures, film, large-scale photographs and paintings—has been commissioned by such clients as United Airlines, Absolut Vodka and TBWA/Paris and has appeared in publications like "Rolling Stone," "The New York Times" and "Harvard Business Review." Sandberg has exhibited throughout the United States and internationally, at such venues as the Royal West of England Academy in Bristol, the Mito Contemporary Art Gallery in Barcelona, the Johanssen Gallery in Berlin and the Jonathan LeVine Gallery in New York City. Publications such as "Juxtapoz," "Acclaim" and "Empty" have also featured his artwork. The recipient of awards from the Society of Illustrators in New York and Los Angeles, he continues to lecture at ArtCenter, Otis College of Art and Design and California State University, Northridge.
