The Creative Director for Google Store, Strahan McMullen directs the eCommerce site experience and art direction for Google Hardware’s digital presence. McMullen began his design career at an alternative weekly newspaper and in 2005 created Studio 451, a full-service graphic design studio, with work appearing in Dwell and Metropolis magazines. He stepped up his branding game at Landor in San Francisco, taking active design responsibilities with such clients as Logitech, NFL/Super Bowl, NetApp and FedEx Office. In 2010 he joined the Attik design and branding team, working with Scion, Yahoo!, Ubisoft and Boost Mobile. He later joined AKQA and redesigned apps and enterprise-level websites for Audiusa.com and Nike’s Jordan.com among others. McMullen’s work has received national and international recognition from Graphis, Red Dot, FWA, siteInspire, Awwwards, Mashable, Print Magazine, I.D. Magazine and Adobe Achievement Awards. While attending ArtCenter, he received the Joe and Rosa Farrer Endowed Scholarship.
