Deanna Kuhlmann-Leavitt began designing at Morava & Oliver in Santa Monica in 1987. She moved to St. Louis in 1995 to open a second office for Douglas Oliver. After a successful partnership, she established Kuhlmann Leavitt, Inc. (KLI) in 2001. Today, KLI is known internationally for its work in the built environment, brand strategy, print and new media, and leading complex projects for public and private entities. During her career, Kuhlmann-Leavitt has received awards from AIGA, the American Institute of Architects, the Society for Experiential Graphic Design, the Type Directors Club, "Communications Arts" and "Graphis," to name a few. She has been featured in "Exhibitor," "Masters of Designs" and other leading publications. Kuhlmann-Leavitt has served on design juries across the United States and Canada and on AIGA national and local boards. She also presented at TEDxStLouis, cofounded St. Louis Design Week and serves on the board of STL Village.
