Brent Barson specializes in digital media and teaches graphic design, interactive design and motion graphics. He is drawn to moving typography and the fusion of art, science, light, nature and technology, and anything shiny, colorful, artificial or magical will catch his attention. He has created opening titles for a variety of independent films as well as all the motion graphics for the Typophile Film Festival. His work has been recognized by a "Communication Arts" typography annual, "Print" regional design competition, One Show Pencil, Art Directors Club Silver Cube, "How" interactive design competition, AIGA 365 show and "Creative Quarterly" Gold award and has been exhibited internationally. Prior to receiving his MFA from ArtCenter, Barson earned a BFA in graphic design from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where he teaches as an associate professor of graphic design in the department of design.
