“In 2001, I met my wife Alida, and in 2004, we got married. She was an art dealer from New York, and ran a poster company that was famous. We started working together and we started going back into my posters. I met the manager of Eric Clapton, Nigel Carroll, and he had bought a big Hendrix print and a little Hendrix print, and he talked to Eric, who said he remembered me from being in London in the late ‘60s. They wanted me to do a psychedelic poster for the Cream reunion show. It was a sensational revisit, but was also contemporary. The green really pops. Computer technology was in sync, too, with printing. I made a second edition of the poster, an artist edition, and sold those across the country, with the Hendrix poster. Alida and I started Post-Future, selling prints of my posters. We left the whole corporate world behind.”
