BS 70 Transportation Design

Automotive styling authority Dick Nesbitt is an industrial designer, automotive designer, author and illustrator. He was awarded a full scholarship from ArtCenter sponsored by Ford Motor Company and graduated with honors. As an automotive designer at the Ford Design Center in Dearborn, Michigan in the 1970s, Nesbitt was responsible for creating advance concept vehicles and several production car and truck lines. As a design consultant in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area of Texas, he was appointed chief of design for Class 8 truck manufacturer Marmon Motor Company and later consulted for several years with Peterbilt Motors Company. Nesbitt has written and created art for many magazine articles and books related to automotive design for several publishers, including “50 Years of American Automobile Design 1930-1980” commissioned by Publications International.
