rank Nuovo is founder and creative director of Design Studio Nuovo; founder and CEO of virtual beacon service Datzing; and chief of design at Atheer, an enterprise-focused startup in the burgeoning augmented reality field. Previously, Nuovo founded and was the creative director and principal designer of luxury technology brand Vertu (1997–2012). He was also the founding global VP and chief of design at Nokia (1995–2006), where he led the company’s design strategy and innovations by combining technology, usability and style with user-centered design. Nuovo is an Honorary Trustee of ArtCenter College of Design, which honored him with its Alumni Lifetime Achievement Award and presented him with a doctorate of science degree. His work has been featured in museums around the world including the Museum of Modern Art (New York), The Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum and the Essen Design Museum (Essen, Germany).
