Andrew Kim is a designer focused on bridging the gap between hardware and software design. He was born in Seoul, raised in Vancouver and graduated from ArtCenter in 2013. He currently works at Microsoft as a senior designer. His previous work includes Microsoft’s new visual design language, which defined the design of Windows 10 and Windows Phone. He has also worked on the Xbox One S, which brings a more pure and universal design language to the Xbox brand. Today, he is working on the next generation of the company’s mixed reality headset HoloLens, and the future of the Xbox. Kim is also known for Minimally Minimal, his blog he started in college where he writes product reviews and shares his thoughts on design. In 2013, he was listed in Forbes’ “30 under 30” and received two Best of the Best Red Awards as a part of the Microsoft design team.
