As Lyft's vice president of design, Katie Dill oversees design in a broad sense across the company, covering user experience, product and more. Previously as Airbnb's head of experience design, she took the company's team through a global rebrand as well as the launch of new platforms, including tablet, watch and TV. The team won the 2015 Crunchies Award for Best Design and the 2014 Webby for best travel website and best mobile travel app. Prior to Airbnb, Dill was a partner and creative director at Greenstart, working with early-stage startups on user experience and brand strategy, and creative director at Frog Design, where she led strategic, multidisciplinary design programs for companies such as Intel, Disney, Samsung, Dolby and Chase. With her expertise in interaction and industrial design, business strategy and user research, Dill has taught interaction and industrial design in California College of the Arts’ graduate program.
