Steve Takayama is principal of Nonobject, a product design and branding studio known for its focus on emotional relevance. Working with clients ranging from multinationals to small start-ups, Nonobject helps them realize groundbreaking product experiences. Takayama is also the co-founder of Briteobjects, the company that created the Webble, an award-winning footrest on wheels that lets you move your feet while seated. Takayama consistently wins acclaim for his unique ability to design solutions that appear simple no matter their technical complexity. Prior to Nonobject, Steve was senior industrial designer at IDEO where his clients included Cisco, Maytag and Steelcase. Steve holds numerous patents and has won many product awards, including iF Gold, IDEA Gold and Silver awards, Red Dot awards and Good Design awards. Steve holds a BS in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley as well as a BS with honors in Product Design from the ArtCenter.
