With an extensive background in architecture, as well as industrial, spatial and furniture design, Warren H. Snodgrass created several award-winning furniture designs throughout his prolific career. In 1971, he founded Design Technology, an industrial design firm in San Francisco, bringing his myriad of expertise to a range of clients such as Thonet, Steelcase, Haworth, Stow & Davis and Tropitone. Snodgrass’ work earned high praise and honors from the American Institute of Architects and the American Society of Interior Designers. His many award-winning designs include the Perception Chair, created in 1990, and the Snodgrass Chair, which was selected for the permanent collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in 1992. Snodgrass served as chairman of the Literature and Arts committee of the University Club in San Francisco, and fulfilled his passions as an abstract painter and sculptor from his home studio.
