Nasahn Sheppard is a design leader who believes that brand, product and user experience are the cornerstones of any great business. With extensive experience in transformational change, he is the first divisional vice president of product design at REI, where he leads all creative aspects of REI Private Brands product design. As a private consultant, Sheppard has driven creative work for brands like Procter & Gamble, Samsung, Amgen, Cisco, HP, Microsoft and SC Johnson. His award-winning work has been patented and recognized worldwide, including by the Industrial Designers Society of America (Design of the Decade award) and by the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. Sheppard speaks regularly on design and innovation, and his insights have been published in the "New York Times," "BusinessWeek," "The Sydney Morning Herald" and "The Wall Street Journal." In 2016, he became an advisory board member for the University of Oregon Sports Product Management Program.
