Los Angeles-based industrial designer Spencer Nikosey is president of Killspencer which he founded in 2008 as a personal project to locally craft the perfect sustainable and waterproof backpack. The recipient of ArtCenter’s Young Alumni Innovator Award in 2013, Nikosey today designs and manufactures a wide range of impeccably crafted leather products. Among his many collaborators are James Jean, Public School, Leica Camera, Jawbone, Heineken 100, Tom Sachs x Nike, Adidas, The Line Hotel and The Saguaro. The owner of multiple U.S. design and utility patents and trademarks, Nikosey has been featured in such publications as "T: The New York Times Style Magazine," "Vogue," "New York," "Women’s Wear Daily," "GQ," "Details," "Playboy," "The Los Angeles Times," "Wired," "Men’s Journal" and "Esquire." He has lectured at TEDx, Nike, Gensler, Otis College of Art and Design, Cooper Design Space and the Santa Monica Museum of Art.
