Before Markus Diebel joined Apple’s design team in 2015, he co-founded Moreless, a holistic design consultancy, manufacturer and retailer that conceives and creates consumer products and strategies for Google and various startups in the San Francisco Bay. From 2007 to 2012, Diebel was vice president of design at Incase and oversaw creative design while evolving the Incase design ethos. Previously, he was design director at award-winning global design firm IDEO and led a 30-person design team. He provided his industrial design expertise to clients such as Microsoft, Nike, Intel, Steelcase, Logitech, Kodak, Samsung, Western Digital, Pepsi, Pfizer, Epson and Siemens. Diebel holds over 60 U.S. patents and has received international design awards from industry leaders such as I.D. and the Industrial Designers Society of America. He co-founded the art design group Design Raw and taught and mentored the industrial design department at California College of the Arts in San Francisco.
