A veteran of the footwear design profession, Bill Worthington is a founder and creative director at OluKai, a footwear brand that draws its heart and identity from the unique lifestyle and environment of Hawaii, where he was born and raised. Before he formed OluKai with three partners in 2006, he spent over nine years at Nike after graduating from ArtCenter. As the senior footwear designer, he designed a wide variety of popular models during the time the company rose to dominate the athletic footwear market. He went on to become the creative director at Fila, where he was head designer and co-manager of footwear design groups, and DC Shoes, where he was lead designer for the footwear division and manager of the footwear design group. In 2000, Worthington started an independent consultancy, Worthing1, and counted Converse, Adidas, Patagonia, Medium, DC Shoes and Quiksilver among his many clients.
