Originally hailing from Magnetagorsk, Russia, Rustam Hasanov now lives in Los Angeles. Much of his childhood was spent reading fables and fantasy stories and then making up and illustrating his own. Soon after moving to America at the age of 12, he began to consider a career in the arts, which quickly led him towards the field of illustration and visual development. Following his studies at ArtCenter College of Design, Hasanov has had a varied career in theme park design, animation and film. Standout projects he's proud to have worked on include the title sequence for HBO's "Game of Thrones" and the FX television series "The Strain." Most recently, he art directed on Guillermo del Toro’s CG-animated series "TrollHunters." He currently splits his time between collecting art and books, doing freelance work and working on personal projects.
