Dan Santat began his career at Activision, contributing to titles such as "Spider-Man" and "Call of Duty." The creator of the hit Disney animated series The Replacements, Santat’s work has also been featured in "Esquire," "Time," "The Wall Street Journal" and the 2006 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade poster. The illustrator of over 60 children’s books, he is the recipient of the Silver medal from the Society of Illustrators for his work "Oh No! (Or How My Science Project Destroyed the World)." He is also the winner of the 2015 Caldecott Medal for his "New York Times" bestseller, "The Adventures of Beekle: The Unimaginary Friend," which he both wrote and illustrated and will be turned into an animated feature by DreamWorks Animation. His latest book is the "After the Fall (How Humpty Dumpty Got Back Up Again)," an inspiring follow-up to the nursery rhyme that shows how Humpty Dumpty overcame his fear of heights.
