John Hersey was one of the first artists to embrace computer illustration and demonstrate the range of creative possibilities available in the then new medium. Microsoft and Apple are on his extensive client list and his work has appeared in major advertising campaigns, in influential design and art magazines and in such publications as "Newsweek," "Wired," "Mother Jones" and "The New York Times." Hersey’s illustrations have been the subject of a solo show in Tokyo and have been featured in group shows in Museo Fortuny in Venice, Italy; the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; and 69a Gallery in San Francisco. Hersey has taught computer illustration at the Museo Fortuny, Kent State University and Cal Arts and taught for 13 years as a senior adjunct professor at the California College of Arts and Crafts.
