After graduating from Ricks College (now Brigham Young University, Idaho), John Nils Lindstrom attended ArtCenter where he developed a keen interest in typography and lettering. He pursued the career as a freelancer and was hired in 1987 as a part-time instructor of typography at ArtCenter, which evolved into a full-time position. His client roster includes: American Express, Intel, Superior Quality Foods, Villa Roma Sausage, Blind, PayPal, Anacapa Technologies and Kubota Tractor. Lindstrom, who received a Gold medal from Neenah Paper and a Telly Award, has served as a consultant for the Berger Institute at Claremont McKenna College and for the Alliance for Commercialization of Technology at California State University, San Bernardino. He is also a mentor for "CURJ," an undergraduate research journal at the California Institute of Technology.
