Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Justin Chen is a multidisciplinary designer based in San Francisco. A graduate of UCLA’s Design Media Arts program, Chen’s passion for graphic design led him to ArtCenter in the Fall of 2011. Chen always finds opportunities to work with people from different industries: As a visual design intern at Motorola Mobility, he helped design features such as Motorola Active Display and Droid Dream; he designed a set of collectible buttons for “Linsanity,” a documentary film about NBA star Jeremy Lin; and he did rebranding work for startup companies in Los Angeles and San Francisco. In 2014, Chen was selected to work on the Data Arts Team at Google Creative Lab (aka “The Creative Five”) and in 2015 he continued working at Google as a visual designer on the Android team. Justin is currently a lead visual designer at the sports news website Bleacher Report.
