Chris Finley is a professor of painting and drawing in the School of Art at San Francisco State University. He received the Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant in 2010, the Eureka Fellowship from the Fleishhacker Foundation in 2003 and the Society for the Encouragement of Contemporary Art award from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in 1999. Finley has exhibited in solo and group shows throughout the United States and in countries such as Denmark, Italy and Austria. His art is in the permanent collections of SFMOMA, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, the Orange County Museum of Art in Newport Beach (California), the Columbus Museum of Art (Ohio), the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art (Wisconsin) and the Hallmark Art Collection in Kansas City (Missouri).
