Academy Award-nominated cinematographer Don Burgess ASC started his career in film as a student at ArtCenter. He is most recognized for the stunning visuals and iconic framing in blockbuster hits, including the post-apocalyptic drama "The Book of Eli," directed by Albert and Allen Hughes; "42," directed by Brian Helgeland; "Source Code," directed by Duncan Jones; and Spider-Man, directed by Sam Raimi. Burgess’ career stems from his command over all genres of film, from drama to action to horror to comedy, and his ability to work seamlessly in collaborations with various directors, most notably Robert Zemeckis. Burgess and Zemeckis have worked together on many critically acclaimed films, including "Flight," "The Polar Express," "Cast Away," "What Lies Beneath," "Forrest Gump"—for which his cinematography was nominated for an Oscar, BAFTA and Outstanding Achievement from the American Society of Cinematographers—and the spy drama "Allied," starring Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard.
