As founding principal of West Office Exhibition Design, was responsible for the master plan and design of major exhibitions and new museums in the United States and abroad. He has directed projects such as the Las Vegas Springs Preserve; World Forest Center’s Discovery Museum (Portland); California Science Center (Los Angeles); Hong Kong Science Museum; Odyssey, the Maritime Discovery Center (Seattle); Washington State History Museum (Tacoma); Great Lakes Science Center (Cleveland); Louisville Science Center (Kentucky); Park City Museum (Utah); Science Museum of Virginia (Richmond); and Guangdong Science Center (China). West Office has been awarded by the American Association for State and Local History, the Society for Experiential Graphic Design, the American Alliance of Museums and the Industrial Designers Society of America. Kramer, who retired from West Office in 2013, serves on the board of directors of the Powerhouse Science Center, which he also designed.
