Adam Voorhees is the award-winning creative director of his namesake studio, which focuses on developing experiences that inspire interaction between users, objects and environments. Named the 2010 World Superyacht Young Designer, Voorhees’ passion for design and sailing started early—at the age of 5 he was already drawing profiles and sections of boats depicting interior arrangements. Following various design endeavors ranging from high-end audio to skateboarding, Voorhees graduated with honors from ArtCenter. After co-founding a design consultancy, Voorhees worked for Espen Oeino International. Upon returning to the States, he launched his studio, which to this day focuses on the convergence between built and natural environments. His studio’s design sensibilities reflect a multi-faceted dialogue in a wide range of scale and type—from custom furniture to yacht projects in Europe and America. Since 2014 Adam has taught at his alma mater and is committed to guiding the next generation of designers.
