BS 82 Environmental Design

In 1989, Tim Kobe founded the award-winning design firm Eight Inc., which works across architecture, interior design, product, communications, strategy and branding for such companies as Apple, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Nike, Coca-Cola, Knoll and Citibank. Kobe worked for Herb Rosenthal and Associates at the American Broadcasting Company in Los Angeles, Murray Gelberg in New York, and The Burdick Group in San Francisco. In 1987 he became a founding partner of West Office Design Associates and was responsible for the master planning of museums and exhibitions including the Hong Kong Science Museum. Kobe is a trustee and chairman of the academic affairs committee at ArtCenter where he also lectures. He has also lectured at the California College of the Arts, the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and on behalf of the U.S. State Department regarding sustainability and architecture in Bangkok and Los Angeles.
