After completing two international design analysis projects with legendary designer Saul Bass, Jessica Schulman Edelstein settled in for a 17-year stint at Chiat/Day and TBWA. She initially worked with the new business and special projects department, focused on perpetuating the creative integrity of the agency and its overall vision worldwide. In this capacity she was also director of all pro bono work for arts-related charities and led the development of the agency’s in-house mentorship program. Edelstein’s most visible agency work was for Apple. As the lead art director on the account, she was responsible for the look and feel of the award-winning “Think Different” campaign, which returned Apple to its creative, innovative and philosophical roots. She also worked on Levi’s, Nissan, Taco Bell, Absolut and other accounts. Edelstein taught an “Inside the Agency”class at ArtCenter and runs Project, a high-end specialty project design studio, with her husband, Andrew.
