As a creative technologist, Marta Salas-Porras’ multidisciplinary and multicultural background help her develop groundbreaking work. For over three decades, she has worked with start-ups, product development, branding and design. She holds two international patents, has taught graduate classes in industrial design and has created large installations of land art, a climate-change book, award-winning product design, experimental websites, and interactive multimedia designs and installations. Salas-Porras has been commissioned by the United Arab Emirates, Google, Coca-Cola, Facebook, the city of San Francisco, Coty, Public Utilities Commission, Swatch, the Olympics, NPR, SOM, the Moscone Center, Hudson Yards and many more. She serves as a trustee of the California Academy of Sciences and has served on the accessions design and architecture committee of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Salas-Porras is launching the "Patterns Project" in Berlin as a Baum Foundation grant recipient and an artist in residence at Galerie P98a.
