An innovator in design, film, video and multi-image production, George L. Rappaport was a consequential contributor to the field of communications. During his career, he worked as art director, creative director and producer for clients such as AT&T, Pacific Bell, Capitol Records, Boeing and CBS News. With his ingenuity and expertise in film production, he served as managing director and executive producer for the London office of N. Lee Lacy and Associates, a major American commercial film company. He was the founder and chairman emeritus of MultiMedia Presentations, one of the country’s largest and most prestigious multi-image communications companies, and the head of George Rappaport & Associates. In addition to having served on the ArtCenter faculty, he was a president of the college’s National Alumni Society. Rappaport was also an avid watercolorist, and as an accomplished musician, he performed with symphonies, dance groups and his jazz band around the country.
