What should I sign up for?
Wondering which part of the three-day Summit to attend? Below is some information describing two major programming components:
DAY 1: Education Summit,
Tuesday, February 17, 2009
A full day of experts in the field of energy: including solar, fossil fuels, alternative forms of energy such as algae and cellulosic. Day 1 will be presented in a lecture format, with speakers sharing in-depth information for those wanting to know the real scoop.
Who should attend:
- Students wanting to learn more about energy options for the future and what is being done in the various fields today to make these forms of energy a reality.
- Faculty and educators who want to have more hard-core facts at their disposal about what is truly viable in terms of energy and design as we seek sustainable ways to move people around the planet.
- Leaders from all fields who wish to more deeply understand the context for sustainable mobility.
This is a great stand-alone event for those wanting an educational primer or to have a step-up on the topics that will be discussed at the Leadership Summit that follows.
- Seats are limited to 400 (participants attending the entire Summit are included in the Educational Summit as part of their fees.)
- May be purchased as a stand-alone day (See Registration page for details.)
- Includes morning and afternoon coffee breaks, lunch and attendance (including transportation by shuttle) to the Summit opening reception at Art Center’s Hillside campus.
DAYS 2 and 3: Leadership Summit,
Wednesday and Thursday, February 18-19, 2009
Days 2 and 3 of the Summit are restricted to 100 new participants (speakers from past Summits are invited to continue the conversation by attending all five Summits, and thus, enrich the dialogue.) The Leadership Summit will feature leaders from the fields of architecture, urban planning, government, design (including automotive, product, graphic and others,) manufacturing, food, health, education and others who will come together to share their visions and strategies for how they have approached developing sustainable solutions in other industries.
- Seats limited to 100 new participants at the Leadership Summit
- Fee includes entry to the Education Summit, opening night reception, Keynote evening event and reception, closing night party, and all morning and afternoon coffee breaks and lunches.
