Alex Steffen

Founder and Executive Editor, Worldchanging

Alex Steffen is founder and executive editor of the critically-acclaimed Worldchanging, the most widely read sustainability online publication on the Web. Steffen was the editor of Worldchanging’s best-selling book, Worldchanging: A User’s Guide for the 21st Century. Prior to founding Worldchanging, Steffen worked as an environmental journalist on four continents. He also served as president of the board of the Seattle urban design advocacy group Allied Arts, cofounder of the Livable Communities Coalition and the Fuse Foundation, and has served on the boards or steering committees for numerous other NGOs and campaigns.
