Murray spent 17 years as technical director of the Brabham Formula One Team, and went on to serve as technical director at McLaren International. Having accrued 50 Grand Prix wins in Formula One, Murray left racing to establish a new company for the group, McLaren Cars Ltd. Murray’s team completed several successful projects including the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. In 2005 he created a new company for design, prototyping and development of vehicles, Gordon Murray Design Limited, which recently revealed plans for a bio-powered supermini.
