The building originally had an atrium adjacent to the student gallery, seen on the left in this photo taken for the 1977 catalog.  Due to a need for more permanent exhibit space, the atrium was replaced in 1992 with the Alyce de Roulet Williamson Gallery, designed by Frederick Fisher.
